Mission Statement
Purpose
The mission of the society is to preserve the history of Telfair County and to promote the arts among its people. To support this mission the Society may:
A. acquire by publication, gift, devise or otherwise, lands and other real property whenever necessary and convenient;
B. construct and/or maintain buildings thereupon and dispose of same;
C. receive and dispose of gifts and bequests of money, works of art, and other articles of use and value, and;
D. do all things necessary and incident to the above-mentioned mission
Purpose
1. To be organized as a non-profit corporation.
2. To be organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes.
3. To promote, collect, and preserve the historical heritage of the South Georgia Region.
4. To encourage and develop an interest in the arts
