Community Enjoys John Denver Tribute Thanks to a Vibrant Communities Grant from the Georgia Trust

May 14, 2016, brought excitement to the Telfair County community as John Denver came to town. Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon brought their Tribute to John Denver program to the Telfair Center for the Arts in McRae Helena, Georgia. Through a Vibrant Communities Grant from the Georgia Trust, The Pioneer Historical Society and the Telfair Center for the Arts was able to attract this well-known performer to town. Performing in the century-old former South Georgia College auditorium, now known as the Telfair Center for the Arts, Collins was very complimentary of the venue and its historical significance to the community. The Vibrant Communities Grant, along with several local sponsors, enabled the well-known group to perform. Chris Collins and Bounder Canyon has just completed an engagement in Las Vegas.
